Beginners’ & Improvers’ Beekeeping Course

An event every week that begins at 7:30 pm on Monday, repeating until 23rd March 2020
This is a course for people beginning beekeeping or improving their existing skills. There will be six theory sessions:
- Basic beekeeping
- Natural history of bees
- Honeybee health
- Honey and beeswax
The cost (£150 for full 6 part course) includes:
- Six theory Sessions
- Association Membership
- March Association Meeting
- Access to our members-only equipment shop
- Practical sessions at the Association Apiary
- A copy of the BBKA Guide to Beekeeping Book by Ivor Davis & Roger Cullum-Kenyon
- The loan of a Bee Suit for the course
- Equipment Day Event
There will be talks and displays of essential beekeeping equipment such as protective clothing, gloves, basic tool kit, hive tools, smoker, etc. These will all be available to purchase from the Association Trading Hut.
You’ll also learn how make hive frames and supers.

The event will be held at Myddelton House, there is car parking available on site.
Equipment Day at Capel Manor on Saturday 7 March, 10.00am-12.00.
Association Meeting at Capel Manor on Tuesday 10 March, 7.30pm-9.30pm
