Honey cake recipe

  • 7oz (200g) self-raising flour
  • 5oz (150g) butter
  • 4oz (100g) soft brown sugar
  • 6oz (175g) clear honey
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 2 eggs

Method:
Measure the sugar, butter, water and honey into a large saucepan. Melt over a low heat, then cool. Add eggs, then flour. Pour into a greased lined 8” round tin. Bake at 350ºF / 180ºC / gas mark 4 for 50-60 minutes until firm.
