Honey cake recipe
- 7oz (200g) self-raising flour
- 5oz (150g) butter
- 4oz (100g) soft brown sugar
- 6oz (175g) clear honey
- 1 tbsp water
- 2 eggs
Method:
Measure the sugar, butter, water and honey into a large saucepan. Melt over a low heat, then cool. Add eggs, then flour. Pour into a greased lined 8” round tin. Bake at 350ºF / 180ºC / gas mark 4 for 50-60 minutes until firm.
